Recommendation
Data from experimental trials in relatively young healthy adults found small to no effect of caffeine ingestion (up to 5 mg/kg/day equivalent to ~370 mg of caffeine) on diuresis compared to no caffeine. Higher doses of caffeine (>6 mg/kg/day), caffeine consumption during resting state versus exercise, and in females versus males may promote more diuresis.
